Get Your Bailout Check - 0bama Owes You!

I was checking in on my Facebook page, when I noticed a curious ad guiding me toward untold wealth and riches free for the asking, from our beloved Socialist-In-Charge. I grabbed a screenshot, and when I refreshed the screen, a similar ad appeared. Thus began a frenzy of screenshots and Twitter posts (follow me!), until I had grabbed 10 ads and I my anger morphed into boredom. A number of Twitter followers suggested I make a blog post about my fun (I would choose another "f" word) experience, so here it is:

Now, if you don't mind, I have to go watch Rabbit Proof-Fence with my son.

Imagine the Potential of Every Human Life

NBC has rejected an uplifting and positive pro-life ad submitted for its Super Bowl broadcast this Sunday. After several days of negotiations, an NBC representative in Chicago told today that NBC and the NFL are not interested in advertisements involving "political advocacy or issues."

Brian Burch, President of reacted: "There is nothing objectionable in this positive, life-affirming advertisement. We show a beautiful ultrasound, something NBC's parent company GE has done for years. We congratulate Barack Obama on becoming the first African-American President. And we simply ask people to imagine the potential of every human life."

"NBC told that they do not allow political or issue advocacy advertisements. But that's not what they told PETA," said Burch. "There's no doubt that PETA is an advocacy group. NBC rejected PETA's ad for another reason altogether."

According to an email posted on, Victoria Morgan, Vice President of Advertising Standards for Universal, said: "The PETA spot submitted to Advertising Standards depicts a level of sexuality exceeding our standards." Morgan even detailed "edits that need to be made" in order for the spot to run during the Super Bowl.

"NBC claims it doesn't allow advocacy ads, but that's not true. They were willing to air an ad by PETA if they would simply tone down the sexual suggestiveness. Our ad is far less provocative, and hardly controversial by comparison," said Burch.

"The purpose of our new ad is to spread a message of hope about the potential of every human life, including the life of Barack Obama," said Burch. "We are now looking at alternative venues to run the ad over the next several weeks."

Dictators Mock Obama's Ignorance

Obama the Ice Cream Man

By Con1.

The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever heard about was from a third grade teacher this year.

The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest. I decided we would have an election for a class president. We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote. To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members. We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot. The class had done a great job in their selections.

Both candidates were good kids. I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia’s mother.

The day arrived when they were to make their speeches Jamie went first. He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He ended by promising to do his very best.

Every one applauded. He sat down and Olivia came to the podium. Her speech was concise. She said, “If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream.” She sat down.

The class went wild. “Yes! Yes! We want ice cream.” She surely would say more. She did not have to.

A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn’t sure. Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it. She didn’t know. The class really didn’t care. All they were thinking about was ice cream.

Jamie was forgotten.

Olivia won by a land slide.

Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream and fifty-two percent of the people reacted like nine year olds. They want ice cream.

The other forty-eight percent know they’re going to have to feed the cow and clean up the mess.

WARNING: Avoid Pablo Mac Geocaches!

GeoKnievel & Hawkeye just posted this log on my Off-The-Shelf Solution geocache:

I've been wanting to do this one for a long time. It was a warm but drizzly kind of day with some big swells hitting the jetty frequently. I walked to the cache carefully without incident and found it with no problem. The way back was a different story though. I slipped about half way back and hit my leg extremely hard along with twisting my knee. I could feel the blood trickeling down my leg in my pants and was in alot of pain by the time I made it back to solid ground. I showed Hawkeye the damage and she was shocked at the size of the hole in my leg from the fall. I was still bleeding massively when I got back to Bend 6 hours later. Oh well alot of gauze and alot of pain but hey this is geocaching and you take the good with the bad. Thanks for the fun. TNLNSL

When it comes to abortion, supporters can't speak plain English

The idea that abortion kills a human being is a horrific conclusion to most people.

But the whole abortion movement has never been about facts. It has been about creating a right solely in order to not be prosecuted for killing a human. For them it was a matter of: I want what I want when I want it, don't confuse me with the facts.

The only way that abortion supporters could get abortion legalized is to re-brand it as a right.
