Are You A Liberal Suddenly Interested In Owning a Gun?
"What most of us in the right side of the country understand is that responsible adults need to be able to defend themselves. That means owning guns and learning how to use them. (To be fair, many on the left have also come to this same conclusion already, but they have to keep that opinion to themselves so the rest of you don’t yell at them)."

Top Secret Clearance for Trump Kids?
I read that Donald Trump has asked that three of his children be given top secret security clearance. Of course, that is ridiculous, even if they promise to keep the top secret info safe on a server under their desk.

Donald Trump's LGBT Position
This is interesting, considering Hillary Clinton's numerous statements against gay marriage, and Trump's in favor of it. It's almost as if there might be some kind of deliberate media spin going on.
I wonder if that was also happening with other aspects of the election, too. Actually, I DON'T wonder about that…

When In Doubt…
"When in doubt, use full throttle. It may not improve the situation, but it will end the suspense."
Sounds like a pretty good motto to me.

A Practical Guide to Becoming a True Pun Master
1. Accept that no pun is actually good, but that the true nature of a good pun is to be so terrible that it becomes good.
2. Say every pun that occurs to you. I’m so serious about this, sometimes the most well received puns will be ones you considered not saying.
3. ALWAYS laugh at your own puns, even if nobody else is (especially if nobody else is).
4. Know that you are hilarious. Puns are a limitless resource and you have taken it as your duty to bring this gift to humanity. you are a hero.

9 Things That Make Good Employees Quit (+ 9 More)
A friend shared a great article on social media recently:
10. They drive wedges between their subordinates, compartmentalizing information and hindering teamwork and communication among them.
11. They ignore the experience and expertise of their employees, and instead treat them like they know little or nothing about the work they actually are quite good at.
12. They place roadblocks in front of employees who strive to innovate and develop solutions.
13. They micromanage and nitpick the enthusiasm right out of their employees.
14. They overcommit themselves to the point of being largely unavailable to their employees.
15. They ignore progress reports from their employees, and then accuse those employees of not getting enough work done.
16. They take advantage of upper management's tendency to protect mid-management at all cost.
17. They don't listen to ideas offered by their own employees, and then later enthusiastically adopt those same ideas when someone outside the team brings them up.
18. They don't accept perspectives and opinions developed over years by their employees, but instead force them to work within constraints dictated by arbitrary research conducted outside the context of the local work environment.
I won't keep going…

Cyberspace Independence
"Governments of the Industrial World, you weary giants of flesh and steel, I come from Cyberspace, the new home of Mind. On behalf of the future, I ask you of the past to leave us alone. You are not welcome among us. You have no sovereignty where we gather."
That was 20 years ago. Indeed, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Seen Elsewhere
If your reaction to not getting paid enough at your job is to ask the government to force them to pay you more, you're a loser.

REALLY "Feel the Bern!"
The Tax Foundation, an independent tax policy research organization, found that Bernie Sanders’ plan would lead to 10.56% lower after-tax income for all taxpayers, and a 17.91% lower after-tax income for the wealthiest Americans. When accounting for reduced GDP, taxpayers would see their after-tax incomes fall by 12.84% on average.
Supporters of Bernie Sanders might win a few converts if they put their money where their mouths are and voluntarily contribute extra taxes to support Sander’s proposed “freebie” offerings, just to show the rest of us how painless it will be.
Who wants to go first? Write a check out to the US Treasury for that 10.56% and post a pic here!

Obama's 3-Gun Executive Order
#1 - We know this story is NOT real.
#2 - The way things have been going the last few years, it doesn't seem too far away, does it?
#3 - What do you think of the theory that this FAKE STORY was created and published by a government agency and/or contractor as a way to gauge the public's reaction by monitoring social media shares and comments?
#4 - See #1 above, and strive to make sure it never becomes REAL.
