Seriously? You're comparing the CONTINENT of Africa, to some COUNTRIES of the world... Compare Africa to North America (including the other countries that make up North America, not just the USA.
Settle down, Shawn. The purpose of the map is to bring a perspective to the size of the African continent. Many maps show Africa to be about the same size as Greenland, but, as you can see, it's much, much larger than that.
